Dr. Mehmet Tuncel is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Texas A&M University at Qatar. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, where he focused on parameter optimization for mathematical modeling. His expertise includes high-performance computing, algorithm design, and numerical linear algebra. He has participated in various international research projects, with interests encompassing machine learning, optimization, and parallel numerical algorithms.


Parichit Avatar

Parichit is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at IU, Bloomington. His research broadly spans Data-Centric AI, Big Data Mining (optimized algorithms for big data), Bioinformatics, Efficient and Sustainable AI. Previously, he has worked across industry, academia and research labs to design production-grade ML systems and provided consulting on domain specific problems. He has contributed to award-winning solutions, such as Onama and CHReME for making high performance computing accessible to scientists across domains. He is a proponent of the open-source philosophy and has released several industry-standard open-source software.

He has two years of experience in software development. His research focuses on de Bruijn graphs, temporal data, and computer vision. Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Mert is passionate about music and open-source software such as Linux.

Can is a dedicated researcher pursuing a PhD in computer engineering with a background in theoretical physics. He studied Applied Physics at Hacettepe University and earned a master’s degree in Physics from Bogazici University. His research focuses on the intersection of physics and artificial intelligence, notably improving ultrafast laser machining and wide-field interferometric microscopy using deep learning and transformer architectures.

His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, particularly graph processing and anomaly detection in graphs, with applications to Large Language Models. Samir has experience in natural language processing, especially social media text analysis, and has co-authored papers published at top conferences such as EACL and ICWSM.
